Configuring FMS for use with the Dynam and E-Sky

Helicopter Transmitters Using a USB Cable

Turn your computer on and login to Windows. Plug the USB end of the cable into a free

USB port on your computer. Windows should automatically detect cable and install the

necessary drivers to support a USB Joystick device. Wait for Windows to notify you that

the device is ready for use.

Next, plug the other end into the trainer jack on your transmitter (usually either on the

back or on the left side).

Run FMS, then from the FMS window, select the Controls->Analog Control menu item.

This dialog box is displayed:

Select “Joystick interface” in the list, then press the “Mapping/Calibration” button. This

window is displayed:

Change the “Channel” assignment numbers to those shown in the above picture. Then

press the “Calibrate” button.

Center the trims on the transmitter and move all the transmitter sticks through their full

range of motion several times. When finished, press the “Next” button.

Now center all the transmitter sticks (including the throttle stick) and press the Finish

button. Then press “OK” and begin flying the simulator.

If any of your controls are reversed, go back to the Mapping/Calibration dialog box and

check the “Inv” option for the affected control to reverse the direction of motion, or

reverse the channel reverse switches on the transmitter.
